It is an essential book because the book explains the test format, the questions types and tips for practice. It is not a book for practice but a book to discover TOEFL and questions and all other information about the test, the score, the timing, and the way we can score ourselves. The practice sets are much easier than the test questions..
2. TOEFL iBT from Barron, 14th edition
The book has detailed explanation about 4 academic skills such as Take notes, Paraphrasing, Summarizing, and Synthesizing. The 14th edition has 8 practice tests and 2 CD to practice listening. The book is easy to understand and has interesting tips. The tests have software to estimate scores.
3. Cambridge Preparation for Toefl Test, 4th edition
This is a very good book to practice TOEFL. The difficulty level is nearly the same as the difficulty level of actual TOEFL tests. The questions resemble the questions of actual TOEFL tests. If you practice this book, you can get a high score.
You can send score to your teachers or friends to help you look over your writing and speaking questions and help you improve your performance.
There are several books for TOEFL from Kaplan, Princeton, Delta Key, Longman etc but I did not use these books.

This book has all skills for TOEFL
5. Delta’s key to the TOEFL iBT TEST
The listening section of this book is considered more difficult than the listening of actual TOEFL tests because the speakers speak fast. If you are good at the listening of this book, you will do well on your TOEFL listening.
